Except From Our Travel Blog

Around 6 pm last night Johan was tired from all the driving, and we saw a little road sign to a four-star hotel. It was off the main road and into the trees. We immediately decided that it was a good idea to stop for the day. We followed the sign and ended up not finding the hotel but finding a beautiful lake.

A Good Time Was Just A Phone Call Away

By luck, we saw the sign for Carrig House and I called to see if there were a room with a King size bed. We used a little of our Irish luck 🍀 and ended with a view of this beautiful lake. But we did not realize how gorgeous it would be in daylight. The host, Frank, met us at the door; what a lovely gentleman. The room is absolutely amazing, and I sit in bed, looking over the lake while I wait for Johan to surface from a long, well-deserved sleep.
